Although women tend to be more aware of their skin, men have, even secretly taking more notice of their own skin care. Products are just now coming to the market and research is only in it’s beginning because the demand for male skin care has only risen in recent years. The fact that men’s skin differs from woman’s skin accounts for breaking new ground.
Some tips for men and their skin:
Aside from the daily shaving, a skin care routine should be followed as well. This includes daily cleansing and moisturizing to keep your skin in shape, using natural ingredients when possible. Using natural ingredients, based on your skin type, will also keep harmful products from drying or damaging your skin.
After shaving a moisturizer should be applied. Avoid heavy fragrances that may contain alcohol which can irritate and dry out the skin. Oils such as coconut and olive oil can lock in the moisture.
Care must be taken when you will spend time in the sun, by using a high enough sun block or sunscreen protection product. Sun exposure is one of the leading causes for skin damage.
It is also advised to exercise on a regular basis because this will help keep your skin pores from getting clogged. The same goes for making sure you drink plenty of water so that your entire body, skin included is properly hydrated.
